The extraordinary story of the young Scotsman, conscripted into the Gordon Highlanders at nineteen who survived not just one, but three close encounters with death in the Far East – encounters which killed nearly all his comrades. After liberation from a Japanese camp after Nagaskai, he returned to Scotland and died in October 2016 at the age of 97.
